2018 is the seventh running of the Maharajas Tour, an annual event that is becoming a regular feature for many of participants who enjoy the varied route we take through the south Oxfordshire countryside each year.
For those that are new to the tour, a brief explanation of the event’s name maybe required. You don't need the wealth of a Maharaja or a gold plated Rolls Royce to enter, the name comes from the popular landmark in Stoke Row, the Maharajas Well, which was gifted to the villagers of Stoke Row in 1863 by the Maharajah of Benares.
In 2018 we move the start once again to provide route variety but a breakfast roll and beverage will be available at our start in Aston Rowant and after approximately 60 miles in the beautiful South Oxfordshire countryside you will arrive around lunch time at the Stoke Row and Nuffield Motorsport Day.
The tour is part of the motorsport day’s charity fund raising activities and is organised by Craven Motor Club, Reading’s motor club and more information about Craven can be found on the website www.craven-motor-club.co.uk or their Facebook page.
